Money shouldn’t get in the way of your sobriety
Determining how much of your addiction recovery treatment depends on your insurance plan. Your insurance may cover all of the costs of detox, your inpatient rehab stay, prescription drugs, and your outpatient treatment. However, your insurance may only pay a part of it. The cost also depends on how much you’ve paid out-of-pocket for the year, and what your deductible is.
We know that getting treatment can be difficult, so we want to make your experience as easy as possible. We’re happy to check your insurance for you, by visiting the page below. If you need more information, you can call us or fill out the contact form below. You can also visit your insurance provider’s website to see what they’ll cover. Some insurance companies prefer that you call them before starting recovery treatment.
We work with most insurance plans to cover the costs of treatment.
If you do not have insurance, or addiction recovery at a facility like Gratitude Lodge is not covered by your provider, then personal financing is one option to pay for recovery. Personal financing involves paying the full amount for your treatment with your own finances. The benefit of this form of financing is that you do not risk going into debt fund your rehab stay.
Of course, the downside to financing rehab with your own money is that you must have sufficient savings to cover the cost of treatment. However, if you do have the money and do not have healthcare that will cover your stay, you should absolutely invest in yourself and your sobriety. Money should never get in the way of your health and sobriety.
If you do not have the funds to pay for rehab yourself, personal loans can be a great way to cover some or all of the costs of addiction recovery. They often have a lower interest rate than other options, if you have stable income and/or good credit. There are also many different options for personal loans, ranging from banks and other lenders to family members and friends.
While your family or friends may not be willing to pay for your treatment entirely, they might be happy to loan you some of the money. It can be hard to ask family for money, but there is nothing wrong with accepting help and support from those who love you. Loans from family will save you from high interest rates and will likely be more forgiving if you take a bit longer to pay them back.
Sometimes when you truly need help, you don’t have many options available to you. If you know that you or a loved one needs addiction recovery treatment but you cannot get the money together yourself or through loans, then credit cards are also an option. However, they tend to come with much higher interest rates if you do not pay them back promptly, so you should be careful when exploring this option.
There are specialty healthcare credit cards available which tend to offer lower interest rates and often have grace periods for repayment that give you some breathing room. If you want to go the credit card route to pay for addiction treatment, they should be your first option. Because even if it may mean taking on some debt, if you fear that you or a loved one will put themselves in danger by using, then getting treatment should be your number one priority.
If you still feel that you can’t afford treatment, there may be other options available to you that you have not explored. At Gratitude Lodge, our first priority is finding you the help that you need to overcome addiction, whatever that means. Our team is always happy to talk you through your options. Give us a call and tell us about your situation. If we can find a way to help you, we will.
